This important painting was found in the pantry of a house in Sheffield whilst undertaking a probate valuation.

Working alongside the auctioneers we were able to establish the painting's authenticity, and place the work within the published literature on this notable French orientalist painter. We arranged, on behalf of the saleroom, the international sales promotion. The painting sold for £160,000.
