Say it with flowers - An important British watercolour at auction

Frederick Walker (1840-1875)
The Bouquet
watercolour with gum arabic, 65 x 53cm

This fine watercolour drawing had not appeared at auction since the 1870's.

Originally owned by the Victorian connoisseur Sir Cuthbert Quilter, Bt., the painting had been widely exhibited during the late Victorian era.

We arranged for the watercolour to be offered in a London auction of Important British Art. The work exceeded expectations, selling for £58,000
