Out of the garden. A rediscovered Roman urn.
An Ancient Roman white marble cinerary urn, width 36cm.
The urn had served as a garden planter until it was identified by Michael Mays.
The piece was offered in a specialist sale of garden statuary, selling above the auction estimate.
